The age-old practice of embroidery has long been a staple embellishment technique in the fashion industry. Here, students have a unique opportunity to learn all about this incredible craft and customize their own caps with instruction from Whitney Washington.
In celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, students will be able to choose from a variety of boob shapes, colors, and sizes, then learn to embroider their very own “NipSlip” cap featuring their favorite set of lady lumps! You will learn a variety of stitching techniques from chain stitch to backstitch. You can even add your initials if you’re feelin’ extra confident! The cap you work on in the workshop will be completed and ready to take home at the end of the lesson. Caps, thread, needles, and other supplies will be provided. This is a BYOB event, so let's get happy and crafty!
- A portion of proceeds will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation
- We are offering survivors 40% off, please contact the host.
***You will have the option to embroider your own boob cap or give a gift to a survivor. If you choose to give a gift, we will sign you a boob shape to complete for the class, then help you mail the cap to the survivor.***
No prior embroidery experience is required.
